My i485 was filed at MSC and the uscis status page shows that my application is still with the MSC. But today when enquired about the status ,I was told that my application is at the field office in San Jose which is in a different state . Is it normal for the application to be transferred ...Jun 23, 2021 · My I-140 was approved in September 2020. In February 2021 I submitted my I-485 to Phoenix, several weeks later I received the message that "Case was transferred and a new office has jurisdiction"....a couple of days after that I received a letter in the mail that stated that in order to speed up my application, it had been transferred to the Nebraska Service Center. It nicely takes the mystery out of what happens backstage.
